Here’s just a snippet of what our clients get up to on their adventures.

Rockhampton Social Group News:

AMIDST the monthly event calendar, clients enjoy getting away and seeking adventure in the form of the Tropical Wanderers group. In recent times, the group has ventured to many places throughout the region including Waterpark Creek and the Marlborough Museum.

Every second Thursday the Rockhampton Social Group stretch their vocal chords for some joyous singing at The Uniting Church.

The Sing 4 Health is a popular activity among current group goers and we can always use more voices in the future. Singing normally follows with a mouth-watering meal at the Capricorn Tavern.

Another popular adventure is the monthly Mystery Tours. Groups have ventured to Tannumn Sands, Turkey Beach and even the Gladstone Botanical Gardens.

CQUniversity Occupational Therapy Students have been running morning teas with our clients over the last month.

Activities such as making drums and maracas have been a blast among attendees. Rockhampton Social Groups welcome new members to the events and activities they hold. Private clients are also welcome to attend.

WITH 2018 speeding by, the Bundaberg Social Groups have begun to explore some new and diverse activities including community events and getting into the great outdoors.

Of course, we continue to enjoy our favourite activities like mystery tours, craft group, scrabble and carpet bowls, musical high tea, rock ‘n’ roll bingo and men’s group to name a few.

Early in the year, a large group gathered to attend the Antiques and Collectibles fair at the new Bundaberg Multiplex.

Kicking back and enjoying the serenity on a Fishing Trip.

The group reminisced about many things from days gone by followed by a lovely morning tea at the Spotted Dog Tavern.

More recently, we delighted our Social Groups members with the chance to be involved in the Bundaberg Relay for Life weekend event in aid of Cancer Council Qld.

All attendees were Cancer survivors and were acknowledged with sashes, introduction, the honour of walking the first lap and a scrumptious medieval themed banquet.

The next weekend community event scheduled is the Doll & Bear Fair in October.

Bundaberg clients were greeted by some furry friends at a recent social group activity.

In addition to some weekend community events, we have begun offering some new activities including our fishing group, breakfast club, dog lovers group, get active outdoor group and pool sessions.
