CentacareCQ provides aged care services to older members of our community in the Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Blackwater and Mackay regions. These services are designed to assist and support people to live independently and safely in their homes for as long as possible.  We assist people to create a flexible service plan that suits their needs, focussing on individual choices and preferences.

Eligibility & Funding

Those eligible for Aged Care Services are people aged 65 and over, or 60 and over if from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background. Government offers subsidies for eligible clients under these programs:

  • Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) provides low level basic support services to consumers and their carers
  • Commonwealth Home Care Package Program (HCP) Level 1-4 provides a higher level of care to those consumers who have more complex care requirements.

There are also subsidies available under the Home Assist Secure (HAS) program for people aged over 60, or people of any age with a disability, who are eligible for a government pension. CentacareCQ runs the HAS program in Bundaberg, where we can assist with home maintenance and repairs, minor modification and home security.
