CentacareCQ provides a wide variety of services to clients and has a diverse range of employment opportunities throughout the Diocese. These roles include:

Counsellors

CentacareCQ counsellors provide therapeutic counselling and psycho-educational and developmental therapeutic programs to children, individuals, couples and families in accordance with the Family Law Act 1975 (Family Counsellors). Our Counsellors work under a wide variety of programs including Domestic & Family Violence, and Family Counselling.

Mediators

The primary role of mediators at CentacareCQ is to provide Family Dispute Resolution services, ensuring practice and procedures are in accordance with the Family Law Act  1975, legislative guidelines, and contractual obligations with Department of Social Services. Other mediation services we provide include employment/workplace mediation, and property mediation.

Case Managers

Case Managers are the primary contact point for consumers seeking to undertake or alter the care provided by CentacareCQ as part of the Community Care programs.  The Case Manager undertakes consumer intakes, assessment, reviews and referrals, developing care plans for new consumers and supporting the ongoing care arrangements for existing consumers

Support/Care Staff

CentacareCQ Support/Care Staff provide a range of basic maintenance and support services to eligible consumers in the community, enabling them to live safely and independently in their own homes. This can include Domestic Assistance, Transport, Maintenance, Personal care (showering etc) and support during outings. Consumers include older frail people, younger people with moderate to severe disabilities, and their unpaid carers.

Corporate Services

At CentacareCQ there are a wide variety of corporate/administration roles which support the operation of the organisation and delivery of services. Roles include:

  • Reception staff
  • Administration Officers
  • Accountants/ Finance Officers
  • Human Resources Officers
  • Project Officers
  • Communication Officers

Maintenance Staff

Home Maintenance Staff provide a range of basic home and yard maintenance and support services to eligible clients living in the community setting. Services include mowing lawns, clearing/trimming gardens, and general home handyman activities. Clients include older frail people and younger people with moderate to severe disabilities, and their unpaid carers.
